Removing acne scars

Removing acne scars

Here’s a simple remedy that worked for me to rid your skin of those pesky acne scars

Lemon juice (preferably from an actual lemon, not bottled lemon juice)

Baking Soda

Cucumber (optional)

# Everyday use lemon juice (diluted with water or cucumber juice if your skin is too sensitive) as a toner after you have washed your face. I recommend doing this in the evening, as it allows any redness which might occur to disappear while you sleep. You can (if your skin can handle it) leave the lemon juice on overnight, or leave it on for about 30 mins and then wash off with some cool water. Once the lemon juice is removed apply a moisturizer as lemon juice can be very drying.

# 2-3 times a week make a mixture of lemon juice , water (water can be excluded) and baking soda, adding enough of each ingredient to make a fine paste. Apply the paste to the affected areas, and GENTLY rub in a circular motion for about a minute. Be careful not to apply to much pressure! You’ll see the paste starting to dry on your face. Leave it to form a kind of mask for about 10-20 minutes. Then wash it off with warm water, followed by a cool water rinse. Once again I recommend doing this in the evening, and leave at least a day in between usage of this scrub. You don’t need to use the lemon toner on these days.

I saw amazing results about 3 weeks after I first began doing this (it may take longer depending on the person’s scars)

*The baking soda could redness and a rash if used to roughly and left too long

*Lemon juice causes photo sensitively, use sunscreen if going out into the sun right after lemon juice application

*The baking soda may be too rough for very sensitive skin (sugar is a less harsh alternative)
